What to Expect

Our GED Preparatory class equips students with the knowledge to successfully pass the GED test.  Utilizing materials from GED.com,
the class is designed to walk students through the subjects covered on the test.  The GED Preparatory course aligns with the resources offered by GED Testing Service.  

Your Instructors

Stacy Woods is the program director and instructor of Math and Science.
Dawn Sessom is the instructor of the Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA) and Social Studies.

What is Expected of You

The following is expected of each student:
  • Strive to be at each class on time.
  • Come to class prepared with paper, pen/pencils and calculator.
  • Be attentive and ask questions when you do not understand.
  • Take advantage of the instructor(s) in the classroom who are there to give extra help if needed.
  • Make time to study at home for at least one (1) hour a day.
  • Be positive and patient with yourself, giving yourself time to grasp the information.
  • Commit to taking the test!

What You Should Expect form Your Instructors

Students can expect the following from the instructors.
  • Professionalism and a commitment to your success
  • Instructors will stay on a professional level at all times, they are not allowed to share social media information with the students.  All communication outside of class will be limited and of a professional nature only.
  • Instructors will make themselves available for needed assistance.
  • All conversations between the students and instructors will be kept confidential.
