GED Preparatory Course

Our GED Preparatory class equips students with the knowledge to successfully pass the GED test. 

Utilizing materials designed specifically for the GED,
the class is designed to walk students through the subjects covered on the test.

What is Covered?

During the 16-week course students are instructed on the four sections of the GED test:

  • Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA)
  • Mathematical Reasoning
  • Science 
  • Social Studies

The study guide provided is the Kaplan New GED Test Strategies, Practice and Review, PrepPath and resources from the GED Testing Service.

Who is the GED Prep Course For?

The GED Prep course is for those individuals who have either not completed high school or for those who, for various reasons, no longer have proof of completing high school.  

NOTE:  The age requirement is 18 and over.

Where are the classes held?

Classes are held at the Centerville Community Center, 3025 Bethany Church Road, Snellville, Georgia 30039

We have moved to a blended learning format, a mixture of instructor-led and online learning.

There is a charge of $20 to take the course.  Students are asked to purchase the Kaplan GED book used in class and the TI-30XS calculator required for the test.

Studying for the test can be difficult and attending class may not be enough.   Here is a list of other resources that can be valuable while studying for the test.  The list is constantly growing, if you have suggestions for more sites, email us and we will add it to the list.
